In March, Two Fallen Heroes Honored at George Strait Concerts

As we celebrate 15 years as a Foundation, we are thankful to work alongside those that help us serve our nation’s heroes and their families - Just like when George Strait opened his stage for us in Little Rock, AR, so we could honor the service and ultimate sacrifice of one of our nation’s fallen heroes.
Through our Homes4GoldStars program, we presented Sharrell Shaw Gold Star Wife of U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Alan W. Shaw (KIA) a mortgage-free home that was generously donated by Bank of America.
Staff Sergeant Shaw of Little Rock, AR was with his unit; 1st Battalion, 12th Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division. They were conducting breaching operations in Baqubah, Iraq, when an anti-tank mine detonated behind the door he and his team were attempting to breach. Alan and two of his soldiers, SSG Eric Ross, SPC Leeroy A. Camacho were killed.

Jones (KIA) a mortgage-free home that was generously donated by Bank of America.Sergeant Ricky D. Jones was with his unit, 1st Maneuver Enhancement Brigade at Bagram Airfield when he died from wounds sustained when his unit was attacked by indirect fire.
