Combat-Wounded Veteran Received Payment-Free Vehicle From Military Warriors Support Foundation & Wells Fargo At The 2022 Wells Fargo Championship.

Retired U.S. Army Sergeant First Class David Lang received a payment-free vehicle in support of his veteran owned small business. The vehicle was presented by our Transportation4Heroes program, in collaboration with Wells Fargo, at the Wells Fargo Championship in Potomac, MD.

Since 2015, Military Warriors Support Foundation’s Transportation4Heroes program has worked with companies across the country to award over 130 payment-free vehicles – 65 of those with Wells Fargo. In addition to providing vehicles, MWSF supports these combat-wounded veterans and Gold Star spouses through family and financial mentorship connected programs. These programs provide crucial transitional support that focus on housing, outdoor recreational activities, transportation assistance and leadership development. Through this work, they have enabled participants to pay off over $24 million in pre-existing debt.David Lang was chosen to receive this life-changing gift after applying to MWSF’s Transportation4Heroes program. The application has a rigorous vetting process to ensure that the veteran chosen to receive a vehicle is the best recipient to participate in the program. MWSF works with the veteran to ensure that the gift of a payment-free vehicle assists them in their successful transition out of the military and into their new civilian life.David Lang joined the U.S. Army in 2006 and became part of the 82nd Airborne Division. During one of his deployments to Afghanistan, he was wounded in action while supporting combat operations and received a Purple Heart for his injuries.  Lang ended his service obligations in 2008 and joined the Reserves. In 2012, he volunteered for the Special Operations Aviation Regiment (SOAR) and became a Flight Paramedic. Lang retired from the U.S. Army in 2018. Along with receiving the Purple Heart he also received Combat Medical Badge, Army Commendation Medal with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters, Afghanistan Campaign Medal with 2 Campaign Stars and others.
